The journey home was 7 days...
We stayed at a couple more Harvest Hosts, including another alpaca farm. They had a litter of small puppies and a pond, so Jordan had plenty to see.

The one regret of this trip... Mammoth Cave. The cave itself was great. But... Jordan did not understand why she wasn't allowed to climb on the rocks and we couldn't use the hiking backpack to carry her because of the small space, so there was no way to keep her from trying to run into restricted areas. Therefore, she screamed nonstop for the second half of the tour. We felt bad for everyone around us because it was a small cave with a very upset toddler, but there was nothing we could do because the tour group had to stay together. 2.5 years old is NOT a good age for a cave tour, especially with a climber. Lesson learned.
The remainder of the drive was centered around playgrounds and putting miles behind us.
Lots of snuggles were had.
We hit the Northeast just as Fall foliage was peaking. On one of the last days of driving, we stopped for a special lunch at Olive Garden to change things up. We covered a lot of ground on this trip. (The map is a slight lie in that we didn't end up going to Tennessee.) We got the RV all cleaned up and winterized and readjusted to life back at home.
We learned a lot over those 7 weeks, the biggest thing being how to roll with the unexpected events with plan B being a great option.
