125. Toddler RV Travel VS Flying/Hotels

After our extensive RVing these past couple of years, we wanted to try flying to a single location for a week and hanging out in the same house without the constant moving, to see if we liked it and as a test for future international trips when Jordan is older. We chose Utah since it is a nice central location to all the stuff out West that we like. We booked an airbnb, a rental car, and made no plans. It took the pressure off of constant planning. We mostly checked out playgrounds, the climbing gym, and hung out with friends. It was a much different experience than our RV trips. Jordan did well overall, but did miss her own home, "Jordan house". She liked the car rental though since it was low enough to the ground for her to get in and out alone, a feat not possible with our monster truck. We think if she had more of her own comforts from home, the housing thing would have been better for her, though we did bring her bear and blanky.

Overall evaluation: It works, though the RV is still ideal for our longer adventures. The stable RV environment to return to, our own kitchen with our own food, our own truck, and control over what we do without strict reservations still make RV life the right choice for us right now. It was a positive proof of concept for future travel though.
